Panty hose or bare legs?

A lot of girls don't wear hosiery when they wear a skirt and heels but what looks better if you're gonna have your pictures taken: wearing panty hose or none at all? I have a nasty varicose vein on the inside of my leg (next to the calf) and my skin is extremely dry. I have muscular calves that are huge for a female and chubby thighs. To me, I think panty hose would be better since it can cover all that up but is there something I don't know? Or will none of that show up in the pictures if I go bare?
