Should I Allie/Trade With China on RISK Game?

My friend Trenton has South China on the game. South China is a country that broke off from the Republic and is a dictatorship that is the primary enemy of America. I have North Africa on the game. Trenton in an attempt to spread influence, has offered to give me financial aid and weaponry, which I rejected at first because of my relationship with the US who my friend Darren controls. China is on the Enemy Clause from the US, meaning if I trade with them I will be punished by America financially and possibly seen as an enemy. This is whats done by the US to stop the influence of its enemies. In actuality, Id like to receive the aid. But is it worth going against America?
