Can you use pool strips to test ph level in urine?

I brought pool strips from walmart today that tests for the ph levels in pools, but i was curious can you use it to test for ph level in your urine? The pharmacist said you can and it works just like litmus paper, but i wanted to be sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!
